Anna has over 20 years experience in dentistry. Since graduating from Birmingham in 2003, Anna has also completed an MSc in Advanced General Practice in 2016.
Providing her patients with high quality dental care in a caring and kind way, is important to her and the rest of the practice. She in-stills honesty, integrity and openness with patients and team members alike.

Simon Lawson is a Principal Dentist at Wollaton Dental Care and joint owner of the practice with his wife Anna Lawson.
Since graduating with honours from Manchester in 2001, Simon has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of dentistry. He has completed two separate year long courses. One in advanced restorative dentistry and another in implant restoration and placement, with experience working with Straumann Implants.
He prides himself on putting his patients at ease and explaining treatments clearly so that people feel calm in his care

Gemma Dix

Gemma graduated from The University of Sheffield in 1996. She has also completed a year long course in contemporary tooth preparation and operative dentistry.
With over two decades of expertise in oral health, Gemma has a calm and friendly approach. She makes sure that her patients get the very highest standard of treatment in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

David has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of dentistry, since graduating from Bristol in 2001. He has a special interest in oral surgery, implants (Straumann Implants) and restorative dentistry and has a postgraduate certificate in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. He has a wealth of experience working in both hospital and general practice environments.
With over two decades of expertise in oral health, David has a calm demeanour and down to earth approach. He makes sure that his patients get the very highest standard of treatment in a comfortable environment.

Hayley James
Practice Manager

Hayley James is our Practice Manager at Wollaton Dental Care.
Hayley began working at the practice in 2002 and became Clinical Manager in 2019. After gaining her dental radiography qualification in 2007, she is also able to take oral X-rays within the practice. She has recently been promoted to practice manager and led her team to receive an excellent CQC report early in 2025.
In her role she is responsible for the nursing team and ensuring the smooth running of the clinical support. Hayley is also responsible for our HR. Hayley is involved in everything needed for the day to day running of a busy dental practice. Responsible for our compliance, operations, organising diaries, upholding excellent customer service standards, Hayley keeps the busy team on track and ensures that patients receive the best experience every time they visit.

Samantha Fletcher

Samantha Fletcher is the finance manager at Wollaton Dental Care and ensures the smooth financial running of the practice.
Before joining the practice in 2005, Sam was an experienced administrator and ran her own beauty therapy business. She then joined WDC and stayed with us right up until now! She first joined as an administrator and receptionist and then latterly, as the practice manager for many years. In 2024, Sam stepped down as practice manager in an attempt to become semi-retired (!) but now works mainly from home instead, looking after the vital behind the scenes financial management.
Leanne Braisby

Leanne Braisby is a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist at Wollaton Dental Care.
After qualifying from Sheffield in 2010 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy, Leanne joined the practice in 2015. As one of the team of three hygienists and dental therapists, Leanne helps her patients maintain healthy teeth and gums by providing oral hygiene education and preventative care.

Mehrzad Dianat is a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist at Wollaton Dental Care.

Julia Wright is a Dental Hygienist at Wollaton Dental Care. She joined the family-friendly practice in 2001 and has been keeping patients’ teeth healthy ever since.
Julia qualified at Cardiff in 1999 with a CEB Diploma in Dental Hygiene, gaining a further Diploma in Dental Therapy from Wales the following year.
With over 20 years’ experience in dental hygiene, Julie is an expert at providing a smile enhancing scale and polish. She also helps to treat symptoms of gum disease and provide information on the best ways to maintain positive oral hygiene as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Highly experienced in customer service and going the ‘extra mile’ for patients, Catherine joined the practice in 2007. Originally a patient, she liked the place so much she decided to join the team and is now responsible for the overall running of reception and front of house.
With her friendly and dedicated team, she ensures that all patients get a warm welcome into a calm and relaxing environment and receive the best patient experience, from initial appointment booking to reminders and follow up care.

Claire Perrot is a skilled Dental Nurse at Wollaton Dental Care who qualified in 2008 and she joined the practice in 2016. Claire works within a team of 11 Dental Nurses and regularly works along side each dentist and hygienist helping to provide the smooth running of daily practice.
